This course is aimed at all interested parties from industry, trade, and other sectors who wish to systematically expand their basic electrotechnical knowledge in the field of circuit technology. Prior knowledge corresponding to the courses 'Electrical Module 1: Fundamentals of Direct Current Technology', 'Electrical Module 2: Fundamentals of Alternating Current Technology', and 'Electrical Module 3: Fundamentals of Semiconductor Technology' is required.
Since complex electronic circuits usually consist of a combination of simple basic circuits, participants in this course will develop a deep understanding of these foundations. The lecturers will demonstrate how these basic circuits utilise the elementary properties of electronic components to perform higher functions – an essential prerequisite for understanding the multitude of combined circuits in modern integrated circuits.
- Sine wave generators
- Examples of integrated circuits
- Basic transistor circuits, multivibrators
- Amplifier circuits and operational amplifiers
- Pulse and sawtooth voltage
