The course provides fundamental knowledge of sustainable construction and the circular economy. Practical examples and case studies facilitate the transfer into everyday professional life.

Module: Compact (30 TU)

• Interconnections within the value chain
• Resource-efficient use of building materials
• Fundamental principles of recycling

Module: Intensive (60 TU) – Content of the compact course, deepened and expanded by:

• Resource-efficient construction methods
• Reuse of building materials
• Sustainable construction processes
• Relevant standards and technical terminology
• Strategies for sustainable solutions based on practical case studies

The course takes place in person at the Technische Akademie Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Who can participate? Individuals employed in companies. Private individuals may also participate if they bear the costs themselves.

Funding: The participation fee is subsidised by 45% via the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus) specialist course funding programme. Funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg from European Union funds.
